I love the look of this bike. A dark, race horse with a little well-earned road grime.
"I did all [the restoration and customization]. It was a military surplus bike from the late 40s. When I got it, it did not run or ride, but now is as mechanically sound as a 66 year old motorcycle can be. As far as cosmetics, it's how I found it. Was able to look up some history: The [girder] forks are stock for that year and the front brake works, but the rear is better."

Really neat. Looking closely I think I see a period tire pump (with a wooden handle?) on the right side of the rigid frame. What a great detail!
