Revenge Run 2010 Pics!

Lots of goodness here. Her Majesty's Thunder was an official sponsor of the Revenge Run 2010 where the average speed was 85mph. You shoulda been there, man. Riders from as far away as Florida gathered to ride the Outer Banks of NC April 23-24, for a weekend of motorcycles, music and mayhem.

Holy haberdashers, it's Mr. Chambers.
Finally, a proper British bike!
Another Triumph! Oh hey, it's Mr. Chambers again.

Happy Birthday Ann Margret

There are two different kinds of girls on bikes. Those who pose on them, and those who ride them. It takes skill to operate a vehicle that is almost nothing more than a roaring engine hooked up to wheels. And if a girl can do it, she's a girl with skill, brains and a taste for danger. And if it's a British motorcycle, she's a girl with skill, brains, a taste for danger and not afraid to get a little greasy.

Oooh, I just got the tingles. Happy Birthday Ann Margret.

Chasing Thunder

Photographer Scott Pommier has a new photo book coming soon: "Chasing Thunder". His eye for the timeless is exquisite. Check out his blog, which is updated regularly. Below is one of his shots of Sara on her Triumph bobber. She's been featured on HMT before.

A Royal Birthday

Can you guess who this is?

It's none other than the then Princess Elizabeth herself getting greasy with an engine during her ATS training in World War II. By the way, girls who work on engines... keepers.

Happy Birthday to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, born April 21, 1926

In honor of Her Majesty's Royal 84th, here's a look at some bikes from the year she was born. A
Triumph, a BSA and a Levis (which, surprisingly was a motorcycle before it was a pair of jeans).

HMT Photo Contest Results

It was tough to narrow it down, but the winners are Richard Baybutt and David Blasco! Congratulations gentlemen. They each receive a Thunder T-shirt. Richard sent in his photo of his pal Max from Corpses From Hell on his BSA. David, an avid Royal Enfield enthusiast and writer (his blog is at RoyalEnfields.com) entered an action shot showing him on his Royal Enfield in an homage to the famous 1950s Enfield ad featuring a dapper dude in a tweed jacket. Digital manipulation by his daughter. Thanks for all the entries. We'll do it again sometime soon.

Check out the Revenge Run Blog to see it and get all the details.
