The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Indian, Triumph
THX1138: I'm glad to see that in the future police droids are riding custom Triumphs with Avon fairings:
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Harley, Triumph
The Wild One, Brando's own Triumph
Did it bother anyone else that the HD in Indiana Jones and the Crystal skull had an evo engine? That was supposed to be a little after the Nazi era right? Anyone? sheesh...
ReplyDeleteThe Harley was wrong for period of the movie. It was in fact a 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Springer Classic semi-customized to reflect the movie's 1957 period setting, but not only was the engine wrong, so were the front disc brakes that stood out like a sore thumb. And the bike itself dwarfed LeBeouf making him look even more like a child. If they were going for the Brando or "Wild One" look, they should have used a Triumph which would have been more accurate and proportionate to the rider. But then, it was all about product placement and George Lucas & Harley wanted the spot.
ReplyDeleteLOL I am glad it wasn't just me that hated that!
